Moana started in 2011 with something deeply personal.

Our founder, Karina, had lived with eczema her entire life. For years, she knew what it felt like to want to cover up, hide her skin and wait until she looked “better” before allowing herself to feel confident.

She wanted to change that.

Moana was created from a simple idea: you shouldn’t have to look perfect to feel incredible in a bikini.

What began as Karina creating colourful swimwear that made her feel confident quickly connected with women all over the world who were craving the exact same thing.

And that’s when Moana became so much more than a bikini brand.

Over the last 15 years, we’ve grown from a small Australian swimwear label into a global community of women who celebrate being exactly who they are, imperfections, changing bodies, loud personalities and all.

Our community has grown with us, and we’ve grown with them.

Today, Moana is home to swimwear, activewear, sleepwear, apparel and more. Everything is designed by our small team on the Gold Coast with the same purpose we started with:

To make women feel GOOD.

We don’t believe confidence comes from finally becoming the “perfect” version of yourself.

We believe you deserve to feel it now.

15 years later, that little idea has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined.
